Delicious, Natural, Yummy Goodness that also feeds hungry children! PB Crave is amazing ~ Review on Mom Loves 2 Read

Ok, so I like Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches.  Yes, I know I am a grown up, but there is something about a yummy peanut butter with Strawberry preserves sandwich that is like comfort food to me.  Not all the time but just once in a while.  My kids, well, two of them like PB & J's, one not so much.

My husband?  well, yeah - he likes a huge spoonful of peanut butter with crackers or pretzels sometimes as a snack.

So, when I saw this PB Crave stuff, I thought it would be perfect for my family to review.  Was I right?

  Oh YEAH!

Made with only the finest, natural peanut butter, honey and mouth-watering flavor favorites, PB Crave spreads excitement with every bite.  PB Crave offers 4 mouthwatering,
natural peanut butter blends, each with a mix of many favorite flavors
in with natural peanut butter - for a new twist on an old classic ~
Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Nookie, CoCo Banana and Choco Choco.

My personal favorite is Cookie Nookie - imagine peanut butter with a silky honey taste with little bits of flavor that makes your mouth think there is a peanut butter cup type candy swirled inside!  oh YUM!

I also like CoCo Banana - since I like peanut butter with bananas and chocolate chips - this one reminds me of that - or even the frozen bananas smothered in peanut butter and rolled in nuts or choc chips.  A great combination of flavors!

My girls both love Cookie Nookie, but also like the Razzle Dazzle - I'm not a fan of raspberry, but they both love it.  We haven't had a chance to open the Choco Choco yet, but I'm almost afraid to.  lol  I'm "afraid" I'll eat it all and not share any!

These amazing combinations are great on graham crackers, with animal cookies or just for a quick spoonful on the go.  I'm personally not fond of them on bread, but my kids think it is fine on bread.

They do make AMAZINGLY delicious "peanut butter cookies" - addictive and yummy twist on the traditional peanut butter cookie recipe - substitute the peanut butter for one of the PB Crave flavors (again Cookie Nookie won this recipe challenge, but Razzle Dazzle came in a close second place!)

More about PB Crave:

We use high-quality ingredients, proven processes and cutting-edge innovation to craft dizzying blends of unique flavors that transform everyday taste into a tantalizing, healthy treat. PB Crave is different — because we’re actually making a difference.

This peanutbutter is atisan-crafted using high-quality ingredients and proven practices.  Enjoy the new twisted taste sensation that gives you more of the mouthwatering flavors you crave - without the stuff you don't.

Sara gave a thumbs up this week to one of our co-hosts, Cathy from A Peek Into My Paradise: "I liked this one because it is a peanut butter coffee cake complete with chocolate chips in the streusel topping... basically the stuff this pregnant lady dreams of!"

Penny enjoyed the post from Homemaking with Style:  "I'd love to use this post from Brittnei for Homemaking with Style...it's a letter to her 17 month old...it really touched me and inspired me to write more letters to my daughters and even create a letter box for Savannah's 1st birthday, everyone puts a letter or note in her box and I'll give them to her on her 18th birthday!"

Stacey loved what Vashti posted last week: "Growing up feeling that I was never good enough, caused a certain amount of depression and feelings of worthlessness. It makes me sad to see the news reports of bullying and belittling behavior that causes these children to feel depressed. Or parents that can't accept the child they chose to have with unconditional love."

Cathy's favorite is comes from  Darlene Nemeth: "Great tips! One of my favorite movies is Pay It Forward. Love this post. Thanks for sharing!"

My favorite from last week also comes from Vashti.  She writes about the stress of moving and I wholeheartedly agree! As a military brat who had to move every 2 to 3 years I loved her humorous tips to remember when the time comes to move house!

My Review:

This is an absolutely adorable book.  Although my children are technically too old for this book, with my youngest being 5 1/2 years old, I wasn't sure what they would think.  But both of my girls love the story, the cute little monkey Rufus and enjoyed reading this book with each other over and over.

I know my sister in laws would both love to have this story for their little ones - it will be hard for me to pick only one of them to pass this book on to!

Ryan learns what happens when his family attends church and as he is learning, he is telling his stuffed monkey friend, Rufus, what he is learning about how to behave in Church.

This is a wonderful read for families that attend regular worship services and would like to reinforce the "good behavior" to younger children in a fun and entertaining way.  Plus it is just so cute!

The Glister Journals Series ~ Bronze by B. B. Shepherd Book Blast & $100 GIVEAWAY on Mom Loves 2 Read

bronze

The Glister Journals: Bronze

BronzeAllison Anderson knows she's a little different, but it hadn't bothered her too much-until now. Moving away from everything she's ever known to a new house, new neighborhood, and new school is bad enough, but it's her first year of high school too, making it even more intimidating. She's more aware of her social and physical limitations than ever before.

And then there are the new people she meets: the tough-looking girl in her home room; the cute but dangerous-looking boy she first saw before school even started; the quiet, older girl who keeps to herself; the sullen-looking, seemingly isolated junior that doesn't seem to trust or like her at all. Can she trust them?

While the peaceful situation of her new home only amplifies the sound of her own doubts, she begins to learn that things are not always what they seem, and her world is turned upside-down by these new friends, two-legged and otherwise. Life soon becomes more complicated, and much more interesting!

 About The Glister Journals series:

The Glister Journals series is told from the perspective of a normal but not average teenage girl. It is not obvious, but Allison has a mild pervasive developmental disorder (autism spectrum). She thinks and experiences things a little differently from most of the other kids. In the past it has caused her to be alienated at best and bullied at worst. After the family moves, she becomes involved with a group of teens that open up new worlds to her.

The four book series follows her through high school but is equally about her friends who have their own problems, fears, and aspects of their lives they’d rather keep quiet. There is action—mostly in the form of equestrian and extreme sports—and though there are only hints of it in Bronze, there is a love story which will play a more prominent part as the series progresses.

The main story is about assumptions, acceptance, love, and friendship, though there are other themes running throughout the series.

BBA graduate of Cal Poly with graduate work at Chapman and U C Santa Cruz, B. B. Shepherd has lived most of her life in California and loves the diverse beauty of its many landscapes. Music, horses, literature, and art have been her passions as long as she can remember. She enjoys road trips, almost all horse sports and extreme sports (as a spectator), and is addicted to research.

As a writer, Shepherd enjoys exploring emotions and motivations: why do people do what they do? She also likes trying to find the funny side of things. She admits to being a hopeless romantic and often gets in trouble for her sense of humor. Bronze is her debut novel, the first in a series of four called The Glister Journals. She currently works full time as a music professional and educator, and lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her youngest daughter and a very silly cat.

A Proper Romance for a not so Proper Princess ~ Just Ella by Anette K. Larsen book blast $ Giveaway

Just Ella Tour

Just Ella

Just Ella by Annette K. Larsen

Book Summary:

A Proper Romance

Ariella was only looking for a distraction, something to break up the monotony of palace life. What she found was a young man willing to overlook her title and show her a new and vibrant way of life. But when her growing feelings for Gavin spiral out of control and clash with the expectations of her station, she will discover that the consequences of her curiosity are far more severe than she’d imagined.

I watched in helpless horror as two guards hauled Gavin to his feet and dragged him from the room. My voice was frozen, unable to protest as another guard took hold of my arm, leading me upstairs. From the confines of my room, I stared into the darkness beyond my window, hoping to catch one more glimpse of Gavin. He was gone, and I wondered if he would have been better off if he had never met me.

I write clean romance. Why? Because that’s what I love to read, but over the years I’ve discovered it’s quite a challenge to find good clean romance. I believe it’s a genre that many people are looking for and too few authors are writing. My first novel, Just Ella, took me many years to write because I wanted it to be more than just a cutesy love story. I wanted it to have depth, to feel genuine. Hopefully I succeeded, but you’ll have to be the judge.

Praise for Just Ella

"I fell in love with this book. Treat yourself to something wonderful. You can't go wrong with Just Ella!" ~Inspired Kathy from I Am A Reader, Not A Writer

"

By far one of the best romance novels I've ever read. Pulls you in with great, likable characters and keeps you going with a sweet and exciting love story--plus a good plot to give it even more substance. Full of those tender moments you want to go back and read again, plus exciting moments, clever humor, and some suspense as well." ~Jana Miller

"Annette Larsen writes a love story that takes time, is complicated, and yet still sweeps you up in the romance (without the cheese, thank you). It's compelling and emotional and sweet and you will love every page." ~Kimi

 Author Annette K. Larsen

annetteI was born in Utah, but grew up in Flagstaff Arizona and St. Louis Missouri, the fifth of seven children. I attended college at Southern Virginia University and Brigham Young University where I studied English and Theater. I now live in Idaho with my husband and four children.

I have Charlotte Bronte to thank for the courage to write novels. After being bombarded with assigned reading about women who justified abandoning either their families or their principles in the name of love, I had the great fortune of reading Jane Eyre. And that was it: finally a heroine who understood that being moral and making the right choice was hard, and sometimes it hurt, but it was still worth it. After rereading it several years later, I realized that if I wanted more books to exist with the kinds of heroines I admired, then I might as well write a few myself. My books are about women who face hard choices, who face pain and rejection and often have to sacrifice what they want for what is right. The consequences are often difficult or unpleasant, but it the end, doing what’s right will always be worth it.

I believe there is no substitute for good writing or good chocolate. Fortunately, one often leads to the other.

Class Reunion Blues with author Debby Mayne's Class Reunions Series ~ Review on Mom Loves 2 Read

This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is introducing

Pretty is as Pretty Does (bk 1)
Bless Her Heart (bk 2)
Tickled Pink (bk 3)

(Bethany House March 1, 2007) by Debby Mayne

ABOUT THE BOOKS

Pretty Is as Pretty Does:

Priscilla Slater goes to her ten-year high school reunion with equal parts dread and eager anticipation. Even though she’s a successful owner of a chain of hair salons and no longer has the mousy brown hair, crooked teeth, and discount-store wardrobe, she still feels like the ugly duckling. But when she arrives at the reunion, Priscilla soon realizes that her old classmates aren’t exactly as she remembers them. With humor and a just a touch of sassiness, Priscilla finds herself facing her own truth—and she may be surprised at what she discovers.

My Review:

I did not have time to get all three of these great books read yet, but I am most of the way through this first book ~ Pretty is as Pretty Does.  This first book introduces the reader to Pricilla who is on her way to her 10 year high school reunion ~ poor thing.  She is not only nervous but pretty much in a panic about seeing her old classmates.  I personally don't blame her one bit.  I also would be very nervous IF my high school class ever had a reunion.

The author writes in such as way as to engage the imagination of the reader, at least this reader ~ and has written a story that is so fun to read.  There are hilarious moments, seriously fun events and great, well-written characters that keep me reading well past the time I should stop.  Just ask my kids!

This story is well-written, engaging and entertaining.  I can't wait to finish this one and start the next one in the series . . .

Bless Her Heart:

As Priscilla Slater’s 15-year class reunion approaches, she decides to attend out of curiosity… and to flaunt her latest achievement—taking her business to a national level with the possibility of a TV show. As if getting ready for the event and putting up with the pranks of her former classmates isn’t enough, Priscilla’s hometown visit is further complicated by her parents’ separation. With the once-solid sanctuary of her home broken at the foundation, there’s only one thing Priscilla’s parents can agree on: no matter what sort of accolades their daughter receives as a hair stylist, she’s not living up to her potential. Eager to escape the painful reality of her childhood home, Priscilla bolts as soon as a call from New York brings good news: her offer to purchase one of the best salons in the country is likely to come through. But returning to New York means returning to Tim, Priscilla’s best friend and business pal who has been impatiently suggesting their relationship should be more than a friendship. Despite her recent achievements, will Priscilla learn that success doesn’t always result in popularity—or love?

Tickled Pink:

Priscilla Slater shows up at her 20-year reunion as a national celebrity. Her hair salon dynasty has skyrocketed, and to top it off, she has her own line of hair products. She has become a huge success with the “Ms. Prissy Big Hair” line that lets women with the thinnest of locks get the coveted “big hair” look so popular in the South. Her classmates have finally come to terms with adulthood, but they’re handling it with the grace of a Southern woman wearing white after Labor Day. It’s just downright awkward! Asserting the maturity that her classmates have often lacked, Priscilla holds her head high. But she can’t ignore everything. When she catches her mother in the arms of her former high school principal, Priscilla can’t get out of town fast enough. Eager to get back to her more comfortable life, Priscilla runs head on into an ultimatum: Tim tells her they’re not getting any younger—as if she has to be reminded.

My Review:

Lucy the Dinosaur ebooks are sort of cartoons turned into e~boardbooks for toddlers and preschoolers.  In each of the adorable ebooks, Lucy and her friends have fun and exciting adventures.  The illustrations look like a freeze-frame of an animated cartoon.  Each page has a very colorful and fun picture of Lucy or her friends acting out the words of the story.  Each story is told simply and is easy for young children to understand and follow along.

These children's books are fun to read and entertaining to look at.  I'd personally recommend them for ages 5 and under.  My kindergartener really enjoyed listening and watching as I read a few of them to her on my laptop.

My Review:

The Nurse's Secret Suitor is another amazing story if the Eagle Point Emergency series by author Cheryl Wyatt.  I have read each of these books and the all are wonderfully written.  This book does not disappoint.  Continuing the story of  the nurses, doctors and medical staff at Eagle Point, Trauma nurse Kate finally gets her turn to shine.  She has dreams of love but is afraid of being hurt.  While medic Caleb has been attracted to Kate for a very long time, but she shies away from relationships.  This story is a wonderful read and is one that was very hard to put down.  I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Eagle Point Emergency series.

Read my review of The Doctor's Devotion in this same series

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Not even Cheryl Wyatt’s closest friends would dream that this sweet, shy intercessor plots mayhem during announcements at church. She is a Registered Nurse turned stay-at-home-mom, wife and writer who loves Jesus with all of her heart.

Joyful chaos rules her home, and she delights in the stealth moments God gives her to write. She stays active in her church and in her laundry room. She is convinced that having been born on a Naval base on Valentines Day destined her to write Inspirational Military Romance.
