Appalachian Serenade was a wonderful book to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and
could not put it down until I reached the end. I loved the relationship between
Robert the small town store manager and Delilah. Delilah was raised in the small
town but left it when she married too soon and then, after her and her husband
were divorced, she returns to the small town to live with her sister and her
family, but she feels like she is intruding and not much help. She finds a job
at the small town store as assistant and ends up falling in love with Robert. Then Robert, who has trouble with relationships, falls in love with Delilah and they
end up married to each other. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves
Christian Fiction.

Shannon wakes up from a coma to find out that she has been in the coma for 10
yrs. and while in the coma her husband has died of a form of cancer of the
brain. She has trouble with her memory and while in the Rehab. facility, her
doctor, DR. Pertos as well as her Aunt Mary are there to help her recover.



Shannon has a struggle with her faith in God also. She blames God for what
happened and not preventing it. While recovering, her husband's(Edmund) sister
comes and causes trouble by trying to keep Shannon from the families(Ridgeway)
fortune. I would recommend this book for anyone that loves a good "fairy tale"
themed book. I received this book free from Moody press.

I saw this book first but offered it up to Sharon (my Mom) for review.  I loved the blurb and can't wait to read it myself, thankfully she is not selfish with her books and has shared it for me to read too.  It is patiently waiting on my TBR shelf (though I snuck it up near the top instead of the bottom of the pile).

The Healing Quilt by Lauranie Snelling ~ #review

After her Aunt Teza’s test results turn out to be inconclusive, Dot
Cooper resolves to raise money for a new mammogram machine, through the
creation and auction of a magnificent, king-sized quilt to be sewn by
the women of Jefferson City.



Dot’s efforts quickly draw the
support of disparate members of the community, including newcomer Beth
Donnelly, married to a local pastor; Elaine Giovanni, the stylish wife
of a local surgeon; and an

ailing Aunt Teza. But as the four different
generations work the squares of the quilt, they are also confronted

This story is about the lives of four women from different walks of lives with
different struggles. Through the plan of one in creating a quilt to benefit the
raising of money for a new mammogram, these women get together to work on the
quilt and in turn the fellowship and sharing of their life concerns becomes a
door to spiritual healing and a change in each of their lives for the better for
all of them. I would highly recommend this book for anyone that is struggling
with any kind of problems and through the leading of the Lord the problems will
not seem as impossible as it does. I received this book free from a friend to
read.

My Review:

Another fun set of DVDs, book and CD for children to enjoy.  2 DVDs full of scenes of firetrucks and firefighters in action is one that most young boys (and some girls) will absolutely love.  An audio CD with sing along songs, a huge book full of Firetruck pictures.  Hours and Hours of firetruck fun.  Just to clarify, this is not a movie, not a documentary but DVDs of different fire trucks over and over.  It is something that those who love the trucks, the firefighters and the action will enjoy watching.  Fun for classrooms, home, grandparents, or watching on the go.

I found Lee Strobel's journalistic approach to his search for truth about the
history of Christ as well as the truth whether Christ was purely a man or God
was thought provoking and insightful. As I read the book I also took the stance
as if I had never became a Christian and wanted the facts before believing. The
book gave be a better view of the Biblical truth written in it as well as a
better understanding of Christ from the writers of the Bible. I would recommend
this book to anyone that wants another way to approach the truth of the Bible
This book I received free from the Methodist church I am going to as a handout
to anyone interested in reading it. I was told it was a deep book, I found
it easy to read.

My Review:

The Envyderm Lip Volumizing and Conditioning Plumper is easy to apply just like regular lip gloss.  It is smooth and silky when applied but beware it tingles when it goes on.  That its the plumper working on your lips.  It was a bit annoying at first, then stung a little but after a few minutes it went away.

I like the shine of the gloss which got me lots of compliments when wearing out in public.  Within a few minutes of applying my lips seemed fuller and softer.  The benefits continue over time and get a lot of great comments when worn out on the town. Other than the stinging, tingling sensation I thought the gloss does a good job of plumping and shining up my lips.  Not sure I'll use it often as the tingling/stinging does bother me.

My Review:

ATTITUDE is a great place for Eco Friendly products at discount prices.  A website where the member can purchase products for the home and family that are made without all the harsh chemicals that many name brand companies add to their products.  From Dish Soap to Shower Cleaner, Laundry detergent to Shampoo and Sunscreen, ATTITUDE has items that are made safer for the whole family.

I was given the new 40% off code to get the prime membership and codes to get a couple products free for this review.  I chose the Dish Soap, Shower Cleaner and Fruit and Veggie Wash.

 

The Shower cleaner is ok, but doesn't work very well on stains or hard water spots but is great for after shower spray down and wipe to keep clean in between deep cleaning.



The Fruit and Veggie Wash is my favorite so far.  It is something that I have wanted to try for a while and love how easy it is to spray on fresh garden produce then rinse off to clean away dirt and bugs before eating.  I know that it is safe to use - safer than soap and water - and will cleanse my fruit and veggies before eating.



The dish soap is fine, works well but with less lather than I am used to.  Not a big deal though as it seems to get the dishes just as clean as my store bought brand.

So for those who prefer to use Eco Friendly, safer products with less chemicals - ATTITUDE is a great place to get what the family needs.
