Our Review:

Although a bit reluctant to try these new snacks, my family and a few visiting friends bravely opened their mouths and took small nibbles of a few different flavors of these Simply Snackin products.  The first flavor we opened for this review was the Teryaki Chicken with Mangos and Papayas.  

It tasted much better than we anticipated.  Each of us had a different reaction - some said there was a slight teryaki flavor, two of the kids thought it tasted like steak, and many of the adults liked the hint of sweetness and how juicy the meat is compared to many jerky type snacks.



We then bravely opened a few more flavors to try all with similar results ~ Chicken with Italian seasonings and Romano cheese has a mild flavor, Chicken with black bean salsa is spicy (too spicy for me, but my son loves it!) - just tastes hot to me. 

Sirloin with cherries and blueberries is ok, and Sirloin with apples and cherries - and Sirloin with pineapples are both slightly sweet and juicy.  



My personal favorites is the Chicken with mangos and papayas.  Although these Simply Snackin products are not yet available in stores, they can be found and ordered online. They have even more varieties than what I was sent for this review!  Even Gluten Free!

Groove to the Rhythm and Dance along with the kiddos ~ Review of Rhythm Bears CD

Groove Kid Nation continues its award-winning music education series with a third release Rhythm Bears. Producer Rodney Lee once again recruits top L.A. musicians and heads deep into the woods to create a soulful folk hoedown. 



As the title suggests, Rhythm Bears is all about drawing kids into the music with rhythmic call and response games that will have them clapping, stomping, playing percussion, and vocalizing to the beat. 



In addition, a band of groovy bears open childrens’ ears to a whole new set of musical instruments including harmonica, fiddle, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, clarinet, kalimba, ukulele, and even didgeridoo. Each song features a new instrument, and the enclosed 10-page booklet features colorful illustrations of each Rhythm Bear.





My Review:

Oh My!  All three of my kids had smiles on their faces when this CD began playing.  My oldest said the music was "kinda cool" for a little kid's CD.  My two girls loved it and immediately began dancing to the beat of the drums and tempo.  My youngest has been listening to it off and on for weeks in her room and often wants it brought into the living room so we can "all dance together" as it plays.



This is a fun and cute set of music for younger children that teaches rhythm, music, and fun through the use of different instruments and musical selections.  Not only do the children enjoy listening and dancing along, but parents will enjoy the music right along with their kiddos.  I found myself tapping toes, moving feet and dancing along with the kids when this CD was playing.  It is definitely worth checking out!

My Review:

My daughter and I both have scars on our foreheads - mine I received as a child so it has been there for a LONG time (not telling how long though - lol).  My daughter received hers on the playground this past school-year - and it was our first introduction to stitches!

Since then of course the wound has turned into a light scar right at the corner of her eyebrow - not terribly noticable, but we both like putting Scar Serum on it hoping that over time it will fade even more.  I like that Scar Serum has natural ingredients and also that it is less expensive that the name brand scar cream in the stores.  We haven't had time to use it for the 4 to 6 months recommended so we will keep using it to see what happens over time!

GIVE Bracelets Review & Giveaway ~ Each bracelet purchased feeds a hungry child

Give Jewelry offered me a review of some of their beautiful bracelets.  I was amazed at the variety of pretty bracelets they offer on their site.  Not only are there friendship bracelets that girls would love to have and share, but bracelets for women, boys, men and many different styles and colors as well.



It was hard to choose exactly what would make the best choice not only for myself and my girls, but for this review as well.  I wanted to choose a variety so I could give an honest review of a few different bracelets that I thought my followers would like, but still get what I will wear as well.



So, first I let my 8 year old daughter, Allison choose a set of Friendship bracelets for her and her BFF.  This is the one she chose ~

As I opened the cloth envelopes that each bracelet was lovingly placed in, my excitement grew.  I couldn't wait to show my girls - thankfully Allison's BFF happened to be sleeping over so we could give her the new friendship bracelet right away!  My youngest, Lydia wanted in on the fun, so she is wearing the Hibiscus Maroon bracelet to show it off for this review.

The girls LOVE the friendship bracelets and each told me they don't plan to EVER take them off.  I did tell them I thought it might be a good idea not to shower with them on, but otherwise they are welcome to wear them any other time - lol.



As for my choices - well, they are very pretty, but I can not wear the green and maroon bracelets for very long.  They have adorable silver star-like-shaped beads in between the green/maroon beads that are a hard plastic-like material and actually feel a bit pokey on my wrist.  I can wear them for short amounts of time but then they become uncomfortable.  I only wish I had chosen this one instead (even though I'm not a fan of biking, it is so pretty!  I hope GIVE makes more like this one) -

I mentioned in an email about the "pokey" bracelets.  GIVE sent me new ones to try instead and I absolutely LOVE them - my youngest daughter helped me choose - we ended up with 2 'team' color bracelets and one beautiful plum colored charm bracelet ~  here are pictures:

Those these are not our school or team colors, she and I both love them - she wears the pink/purple/white one everyday and I often wear the blue/white/black one myself!  It is so soft and comfortable I sometimes forget I'm wearing it until someone comments on it!
