Even before this adorable little bear jumps our of bed, he begins his day by thanking the Lord for Everything around him.  All throughout his daily adventures he continues to be thankful.  "Thank You, Lord, for Everything" is a wonderful padded board book for young children with colorful and delightful illustrations that helps teach them the value of being thankful.  It is a sweet rhyming book that is sure to be a favorite of little ones and their parents/grandparents too.

Review by Jenn:

What do I think about this product?  I think it is AWESOME! My 6 month old immediately started holding, and
playing with it. I Love that you can detach the paci and trade it out for a
different one if needed (my baby is kinda picky with pacifiers.) Her eyes
literally lit up whenever I gave it to her, and the plush toy is the perfect
size for a 6 month old.

ISN'T SHE A SWEETIE!

Review by Susan:

The velcro holds the pacifiers safe and secure while giving baby a stuffed cuddly friend to hold on to and play with.  I love that it keeps the pacifier from being dropped and lost, and also keeps baby engaged and interested with this cute Panda Pal.

What a wonderful idea!  I wish I had thought of it!  No more strings or ribbons that can get tangled in baby's fingers or dropped and lost.  Now with this cute PANDA Cuddly Pal we always know where paci is!  And, it is very easy to change out to a different paci so the old one can be cleaned!

Even better is that these Cuddly Pals can hold teething toys as well as Pacifiers and as baby grows (even beyond age 24 mos), it can still be a great lovable cuddle toy to play with.

Another great feature is that there are more fun Cuddle Pals to choose from.  The adorable DEER and the Cuddly CATERPILLAR.  These would make super fun gifts for baby shower, baby/toddler birthdays, stocking stuffers and just because!

You can find these great gifts on Amazon.com and currently they are even on sale!

Perhaps others may like the Amber Teething Necklace but . . . #balticamber

The Ultimate Amber Teething Necklace

Our Amber Teething Necklace is the perfect alternative medicine for babies & toddlers on the teething process. All this is thanks for the Baltic Amber Natural immune system boost, anti-inflammatory & analgesic capabilities. By the time the baby or toddler start using the necklace you will

start noticing the differences on their behavior & mood, thanks to the effectiveness of the succinic acid contained naturally on the amber and without suffering the secondary effects behind synthetic medicine like teething tablets or scrapings left by the teething toys on their mouth.

The True Benefits Of Amber Teething Necklace

• Noticeable Soothing, calming effects after a few hours of wearing it and much more after a few days of use.

• Natural Teething remedy without secondary effects as normal pharmaceutics drugs used for teething healing.

• Recover full energy, fussiness & avoid fever from teething.

• Babies and toddler looks adorable when wearing it while helping them with their teething problems.

• Highest Standard Quality used for making our Baltic Wonder amber teething jewelry.

• Safety knotted (Amber bead) & easy to use.

• Approved By Mothers!

Advised Safety Requirements:

• Always supervise the infant when wearing the necklace.

• Remove the necklace when the infant is unattended, even if it is only for a short period of time.

• Remove the necklace while the infant sleeps at day or night.

• Not allow the infant to mouth or chew the necklace.

Review by Jenn:

I am not a fan of the Amber Teething Necklace.  I feel it is an odd
length and does not do what is says it should. It was too small to slip over baby's head, yet too large for a bracelet even looped twice around her wrist.  And, since baby is not supposed to put it in her mouth, I wasn't sure what do to so I looped it twice around her ankle, but it kept falling off.  Baby seemed ok with having it looped on her foot for a while, but not sure how that would help her teething?  I really am not a fan of this product and would not recommend it to other parents.

Review by Susan:

Now, I have a few friends who believe that when their baby/toddler wears a true Amber necklace that they seem to have less pain and less drooling.  I would say the results are selective to individual use.

As for this product from Baltic Wonder, I personally am not a fan.  Not only does it seem like the beads are plastic and not amber but the tiny little plastic connector that is supposed to secure the necklace on baby is hard to see, hard to use and easily broken.

LÍLLÉbaby COMPLETE baby carrier with more carry positions that most other carriers! #lillelove Check it out! {Review}

The LÍLLÉbaby COMPLETE baby carriers combines more carrying positions, lasts longer, and includes more features than any other baby carrier. The All Seasons line features an adjustable center panel: zip up for warmth and zip down to reveal cool, breathable, 3D mesh.

1. SIX ERGONOMIC CARRYING POSITIONS – Includes every carrying position without the need for an infant insert: Front-fetal, Front-infant, Front-outward, Front- toddler, Hip and Back carry.

The COMPLETE grows with your child through

all the baby wearing years, from 7 lbs to 45 lbs.

The patented cupped seat adjusts to keep baby ergonomically seated in all six carry positions through every development stage.

2. LUMBAR SUPPORT – Increases comfort, maintains healthy posture and alignment, and prevents lower back strain. Combined with an extra sturdy waist belt to maximize parent's comfort.

3. TWO-WAY STRAP NEW! – Enable wearer to carry "backpack style" or with straps crossed in the back. Dual adjustment buckles simplify breastfeeding and adjusting straps on the go.

4. SLEEPING HOOD– Features dual adjustment points to provide tailored support for baby's head while sleeping, sun protection while exploring, and privacy while nursing. Removable.

5. EXTRA TALL, EXTENDABLE TORSO – So comfortable your baby will fall asleep. Provides extra neck and back support and keeps taller babies secure in the carrier. The adjustable width gently cradles baby's head. Elastic straps provide support while allowing for movement and easy adjustment.

6. POCKETS- Zippered cargo pockets on the panel for easy storage of essentials.

7. WIDE, PADDED SHOULDER STRAPS & WAIST BELT - Evenly distribute baby's

weight for maximized comfort.

Product Review:

For Mommy ~ The Good

The best part of the carrier is the lumbar support. After using other brands of baby Carriers such as Baby Bjorn and a Boba Wrap, I feel that the Lille provided twice as much support to my lower
back compared to other brands. As someone who has struggled with back problems on and off, I would HIGHLY
recommend this product to a mom who wants to "baby wear" but is afraid it will
be to

taxing on her back.

Also, I like that this carrier can go up to 45lbs. I
intend to baby wear for sometime, and this carrier would last much longer than
the Bjorn or Boba in that department.  In this way I can continue to carry baby up through early toddler years and still have the comfort and support that I have now with my little one.

For Mommy ~ The Bad:

It took me a LONG time figure out how to
comfortably wear this carrier. There are many adjustable straps - which I assume
would be helpful as baby grows - but initially it took a lot of adjusting and
readjusting to make it comfortable for me and for the baby. After 4 tries I
started to feel comfortable sitting this on by myself, but before then I needed
help as the carrier hooks in the back by your neck and it was tricky at first.
Also, it took a bit of time to adjust the seat width setting - and it is
essential for you to do this in order for your baby not to be miserable. The
Bjorn and Boba are heads and shoulders above LILLE in terms of simplicity of
design and user friendliness. I still have not figured out the Side position,
and I don't have enough guts to try the back-pack position. But I have no doubt
that with enough practice these too could prove comfortable for mom and
baby.

For Baby ~ The Good and the Bad

Once all the adjustments were made my baby seemed
pretty comfortable. Baby sat forward facing comfortably and also really seemed
comfortable facing in. In terms of comfort I would say the Lille is pretty good.
If you are carrying your baby for long stretches of time I would recommend this
over the Boba or Bjorn. I think it is more comfortable for both baby and mommy.
Also the fabric is fairly breathable which helped for Baby not to get too warm
while in the carrier, which can be a problem with the Boba.

Overall opinion:

I would say that overall, the LÍLLÉbaby COMPLETE baby carrier is heads and tails above the rest.  For quality, comfort, and length of use (can continue as baby grows) it would be my first choice of carrier.  For ease of use, it takes quite a bit of practice and figuring out before I felt comfortable doing it on my own.  A great product and one that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to baby wear!

*A special thank you to my friend Jenn and her sweet baby girl for reviewing this product for me and for her thorough review*

{Book Review & Giveaway} Dr Carey's Baby Care Guide for that Important First Year

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

A Doctor’s Original Baby Care Guide for that Important First Year

With over 120 full color pictures, I am able to share baby care as
if you were in my office. Neatly written in under 100 pages (print
version), this easy to understand guide is written by a doctor to assure
reliable information for you and

your child. My goal in writing this
guide is to ease your concerns and eliminate those sleepless nights. Dr.
Carey’s® First Year Baby Care Guide will provide essential baby care
knowledge and a better understanding of when your baby needs to be seen
by a professional. In short, the confidence to be an outstanding parent
to your baby.

Some of the topics Dr. Carey shares in this book
:

Your baby’s developmental milestones

Newborn rashes explained

How to handle minor medical problems as they arise

Surviving your baby being sick

Answers to the most common questions parents ask

PLUS – A place to record your baby’s milestones

My Review:

As a Nurse and Mother of three, I have read a selection of baby books over the years to help me figure out what I consider "minor" issues that come up that are usually not worth taking my child into the office for a visit to figure out.  I have a couple that are my "go to" books that I highly recommend to any expecting parent, babysitter, parent, grandparent or caregiver for young ones.  Dr Carey's Baby Care Guide is definitely one that I would recommend as an addition to those all-important reference books that I consider a must-have for anyone taking care of infants!

I was quite impressed with the subjects covered in this small book as well as the full-color, real life photos.  I can't tell you how many times I read about an issue but wished for a good picture example to compare my son's or daughter's problem to, and this book has a wonderful amount of reference photos.

This book is full of great advice and examples for baby care that any caregiver would love to have on hand.

This book is organized in a user-friendly way, where the most common questions are handled by topic, as well as an informative appendix, which cross-references topics and
situations as well. A great book for a baby shower or new parent gift - or a great book for any caregiver to keep on hand!

Undercover Mama $30 Giveaway ~ Enter to WIN on Mom Loves 2 Read

How many times have you seen women struggling to nurse their little bundle of joy while trying hard to maintain her modesty?  Some women use blankets or covers of some sort that completely hide baby and keep mommy modest but also lose that face to face opportunity unless mommy puts her head under cover too.  Now, with Undercover Mama shirts, mommies can get the best of both - modesty and face to face interaction with baby.

It is easy to use the Undercover Mama tops, simply attach Undercover Mama shirts to the outer flap of a top-opening
nursing bra by sliding each hook onto the flap a little below the clasp. Usually it will slide on just below the seam where the bottom of the clasp is sewn to the bra. You want to push enough material into the hook so it is snug. On most bras you can slide the hook clear on so that the entire width is inside the hook, but even if the strap is too wide to fit completely in, it still works just fine. You can also slip the hook of the Undercover Mama on to the strap of your bra instead of the flap. Keep in mind with this option you will need to unhook the Undercover Mama each time you nurse.

Most of my faithful readers know that my kiddos are well past the nursing stage, and I will not be having any more little bundles of Joy of my own, so doing a review would be difficult.  So, instead - I asked Undercover Mama if they would consider offering my wonderful readers a giveaway - and of course they said YES!

The entries are simple and easy - and all are optional, but there is a huge bonus for subscribing to the Undercover Mama Newsletter ~ They have a Giveaway Drawing for a $25 giftcard for anyone who Subscribes!  Bonus - 2 giveaways for the "cost" of one entry!  Plus, a little insider scoop ~ Undercover Mama will be having a Huge Valentine's Day SALE - check them out online here: http://undercovermama.com  or keep up with the news via Newsletter or Facebook.

Open World Wide - winner will receive a $30 voucher to use towards purchase and shipping - must be 18 or older to enter/win.  Winner will have 48 hours to reply to winning email - no reply after 48 hours will result in a new winner being chosen.  To keep from missing out on prizes, make sure to check your spam mail regularly or return here to this post at the end of the giveaway to see the winner's name.

The Juppy Baby Walker Momentum GIVEAWAY ~ 2 winners - Holiday Gift Guide 2013

Easy on your back

Safer for baby's arms and shoulders

I remember how much I had to bend over when my kids were first learing to walk.  After a few minutes I would have to stand up and stretch out my back.  I also have a friend whose little one ended up with a sore arm from a big sibling trying to "help" baby learn to walk.  I love the Juppy Baby Walker Momentum.  It definitely makes it easier for Mom or Dad to help baby learn while not causing sore back and shoulders for baby or parent!

I went over to my SIL's house and "borrowed" my adorable niece for this review.  She seemed a bit puzzled at first when Mom and I put the Juppy on her.  But as soon as we got her set up, she started putting pressure on her toes and jumping.  It was so cute!   You can read my full review HERE

And just so you know ALL the details - the current line of Juppy's are in improved version of the one I did the
review of. The new Juppy is called Juppy Baby Walker Momentum

For this Giveaway

TheJuppy.com is offering 2 Juppy Baby Walker Momentums in the winner's choice of color!

Bringing in Finn Review ~ an amazing story of miraculous birth and the love of family

Bringing
in Finn
is an
incredibly moving story of surrogacy and how it created a bond like no other
between a mother and daughter

In
February 2011, 61-year-old Kristine Casey delivered the greatest gift of all to
her daughter, Sara Connell: Sara’s son, Finnean. At that moment, Kristine—the
gestational carrier of Sara and her husband Bill’s child—became the oldest woman
ever to give birth in Chicago.

Bringing in Finn: An Extraordinary Surrogacy
Story tells this modern family’s remarkable surrogacy story.

After
trying to conceive naturally without success, Sara and her husband Bill
dedicated years to a variety of fertility treatments—but after Sara lost a third
pregnancy (including the loss of twins at twenty-two weeks), they started to
give up their hope. When Kristine offered to be their surrogate, they were
shocked; but Kristine was clear that helping Sara become a mother felt like a
calling, something she felt inspired to do.

In
this achingly honest memoir, Connell recounts the tragedy and heartbreak of
losing pregnancies; the process of opening her heart and mind to the idea of her
sixty-one-year-old mother carrying her child for her; and the profound bond that
blossomed between mother and daughter as a result of their unique experience
together.

Bringing
in Finn
is
the true story of a couple who wanted nothing more than to have a family and a
mother who would do anything for her daughter. After unsuccessfully trying to
conceive naturally, years of fertility treatments, miscarriage and a late term
loss of twins, Sara and Bill Connell were emotionally and financially depleted
and at a loss as to how they could have a family. When Sara’s mother Kristine
offered to be their surrogate, the three embark on the journey that would
culminate in Finnean’s miraculous birth and complete a transformation of their
at-one-time strained mother-daughter relationship.

My Review:

This is an amazing and unique story that completely captivated me from the very beginning.  Knowing several couples over the years who struggled with fertility and pregnancy problems, I was so excited to read Bringing in Finn.  This is a story that will bring tears of joy to a reader's eyes while keeping the reader completely intrigued from beginning to end.  I could not put this book down.

What a miraculous and wonderful gift Kristine gave to her daughter!
