Glasstic Glass Water Bottle - Save plastic by using Glasstic ~ Review - Holiday Gift Guide 2013

The Glasstic Glass Water Bottle is perfect for all of your favorite beverages.  It keeps your drinks free from plastic by having a glass bottle insert, but has a strong outer layer of plastic to keep it from being easily broken if dropped.  It is a great new design for on the go, around the house or anytime you need to have a cold drink handy.

Need more reason to choose Glasstic?  How about these great reasons . . .

It is Shatterproof: Designed with a glass insert on the inside of a durable plastic
outer casing that helps protect from breakage while providing
containment and shatter proofing even if the glass does break.  Our
customers love that we offer glass insert replacements for the life of
the product for just the cost of shipping.  This encourages reuse.

I personally use mine all around my home, in the car, on the go and any chance I get.  I love this new style of travel bottle - much better than plastic ones!

Safe & Pure: contains a 16oz pure glass insert on
the inside where your liquids are and a BPA Free Plastic outer shell
around the glass to provide durability and containment.  No risk of bad chemicals leaching into your water or beverage.

Clean: Product can be easily disassembled and cleaned manually or in the top rack of a dishwasher.

It really is easy to clean!

Temperate: Double layered protection with a space
between the glass and plastic which provides for total condensation
protection and some additional insulation for your beverage.  Won’t make
a mess on your wood table!

Doesn't sweat as much as other travel containers and still keeps my drinks cool and ice lasts a long time!

Easy to Use: Leak-proof flip cap lid to “drink on the go” and a safety lock to prevent  accidental opening & leakage.

My only issue with the cap, is that I have to drink from it sideways - The opening is a little wide for my liking, but easily remedied by drinking from the cap on the side instead of directly from the front.  But that is my personal issue - most people might not mind the wide oval opening.

Portable: The easy to carry handle & protective casing makes it perfect for...

Pools & Waterparks

Beaches & Lakes

The Golf Course & Other Sporting Events

Gyms & Yoga Studios

Schools

Walking, Pushing Strollers, And any other On the Go needs - It also fits perfectly in all my car's cup holders which is a major plus for me!  As a busy on the go mom, I take drinks with me in the car frequently - and drinks that fit in the cup holders are always a must for my family!

For more information and to view a Demonstration Video of the Glasstic
Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle please visit
www.glassticwaterbottle.com.

Need more of a reason to check out this great new drink container?  How about my personal recommendation?  It is easy to clean, comfortably fits in my fingers when walking, fits great in car cup holders.  Keeps my drinks cold and ice cold for long periods of time.  Is fun to use, easy to clean in the sink or dishwasher.  AND, mostly - I love the fact that my drink is not touching plastic, but glass - and it is reusable over and over and over!  Saves hundreds if not thousands of plastic water bottles that I often have in my fridge!

Still need more convincing?  Worried about the glass insert breaking?  Don't!  IF it breaks, take it apart carefully and discard the glass.  Wash and carefully dry all the remaining parts - then contact the company for a glass insert replacement - it is only $7.99 (includes shipping!)   What are you waiting for?  Check it out!

A Bride for Keeps by Melissa Jagears - Review on Mom Loves 2 Read

A Bride for Keeps

Bethany House Publishers (October 1, 2013)

by

Melissa Jagears

ABOUT THE BOOK

A Tender Tale of Love on the Prairie Perfect for CBA Readers!

Although Everett Cline can hardly keep up with the demands of his homestead, he won't humiliate himself by looking for a helpmate ever again--not after being jilted by three mail-order brides. When a well-meaning neighbor goes behind his back to bring yet another mail-order bride to town, he has good reason to doubt it will work, especially after getting a glimpse at the woman in question. She's the prettiest woman he's ever seen, and it's just not possible she's there to marry a simple homesteader like him.

Julia Lockwood has never been anything more than a pretty pawn for her father or a business acquisition for her former fiance. Having finally worked up the courage to leave her life in Massachusetts, she's determined to find a place where people will value her for more than her looks. Having run out of all other options, Julia resorts to a mail-order marriage in far-away Kansas.

Everett is skeptical a cultured woman like Julia could be happy in a life on the plains, while Julia, deeply wounded by a past relationship, is skittish at the idea of marriage at all. When, despite their hesitations, they agree to a marriage in name only, neither one is prepared for the feelings that soon arise to complicate their arrangement. Can two people accustomed to keeping their distance let the barricades around their hearts down long enough to fall in love?

If you would like to read the first chapter of A Bride for Keeps, go HERE.

My Review:

This book was amazing.  I love the angst of the main character Everett.  This poor man  has been through so much.  Bride after Bride has failed him to where he expects to be alone for the rest of his life, though he deserves a good woman at his side.  Add in some wonderfully caring neighbors who decide to play secret matchmaker behind his back, and then comes Julia.  She herself has escaped a bad almost-marriage, and unfortunately marrying a stranger is not her first choice.  These two seem to be a disaster waiting to happen, but oh my! well, it is almost a disaster but I can't tell you what happens.  All I can say is this is definitely a book worth reading!  Then, when done, read it again before sharing it with others!

A Word From The Author:

I
am a stay at home mother on a tiny little farm with a fixer-upper
house. As much as I love writing and reading about homesteaders, I am so
glad I’m a homesteader during an era with modern grocery stores to take
up for my slack. I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher by
trade, and I still work occasionally in that field along with being my
church’s financial secretary and writing novels.

My
husband and I have been married since 2001 and have a daughter and two
little boys. My husband shares my fascination with traditional living
except for being more hands on. He loves blacksmithing, knife smithing,
traditional archery, hunting, etc. Generally whatever a mountain man
does, he does it or has or wants to attempt it. He comes in handy for
research! And of course, the rest of the family gets involved. I have my
own blackpowder rifle, named Calvin, that my husband made for me. And
I’m pretty sure my daughter is probably one of very few her age who can
instruct adults how to shoot a longbow properly. The boy digs random
holes in my yard to make “cement” with dirt and water making our yard a
tripping hazard. The baby does what babies do.

Keep the bedding dry with a Waterproof Mattress Pad from Wearever. Review on Mom Loves 2 Read

Wearever - Incontinence Underwear That Fits Your Lifestyle

What do you do when your child is learning to stay dry at night?  But is not quite there yet?  Do you keep him or her in overnight diapers or training pants? or wash bedding over and over each day?  Here is another solution to that problem that will allow your child to wear "big kid panties" and still keep the bedding dry.

A Waterproof Mattress Pad with Wings from Wearever.  This mattress pad absorbs wetness, has wings that stay tucked under the edges of the mattress and helps protect bedding and furniture from moisture.  It has helped reduce the amount of laundry I have had by keeping the bedding dry when my youngest was still not staying dry through the night.  Although she rarely has accidents anymore, I continue to use this mattress pad just in case!  It has really worked well for us and I love that it is machine washable and reusable!

It can also be used on furniture or pet bedding if needed.

More About this Mattress Pad:

The Mattress Pad with Wings surface is soft and comfortable
while protecting from wetness. It is complete with large, fabric wings
to help secure the pad in place. It is washable and reusable making it
far more economical than disposable bed pads used for incontinence.

Buy Mattress Pad with Wings at Eversures.com

This is a specially designed, reusable, and washable mattress pad
that ensures protection for you or your loved one and the bed!

The bed pad is 36 inches by 32 inches with three layers of
protection. The 19 inch long wings attached to either side of the bed
pad are long enough to tuck under one side of a bed or both (if twin or
hospital type bed). The wings tuck under the mattress and prevent the
pad from slipping or moving.

The top layer of the bed pad is made from an 80/20 cotton/polyester
blend called IBEX. This top layer is quilted to a top quality, 8 oz poly
soaker which holds the moisture. The third, and bottom layer, is the
moisture proof layer; it is made from a knitted, vinyl, barrier fabric.
The bed pad is finished with double bound edges for a long life of many
washings.

This amazing mattress pad will hold up to 60 ounces of liquid.

Sanctuary by Pauline Creeden ~ YA Thriller - Book Tour & Giveaway

sanctuary tour banner

Sanctuary by Pauline Creeden

“Left Behind for the Hunger Games Generation”
In a heart-racing thriller described as Falling Skies meets The Walking Dead, Jennie struggles to find a safe place for what’s left of her family. But it seems as though there is no place sacred, no place secure. First the aliens attacked the sun, making it dimmer, weaker, and half what it used to be. Then they attacked the water supply, killing one-third of Earth’s population with a bitter contaminate. And when they unleash a new terror on humankind, the victims will wish for death, but will not find it…When the world shatters to pieces around her, will Jennie find the strength she needs to keep going?

sanctuary

Praise for Sanctuary
“Pauline Creeden managed to mix more genres into one book than I could possibly imagine. The overall concept, aliens attacking the earth, is straight out of Science Fiction, but then you throw in a few zombies and post-apocalyptic fiction with how the dead/sick humans are acting. Overall, the entire story was charged with the adrenaline and thrills of a suspense/thriller novel, but the mood was terrifyingly eerie like a Horror story. There was almost too much sensory information for my primitive human brain to handle. Still, all of these genres combined made for one unique and fascinating story. This kind of book is of the same flavor as The Hunger Games with its originality, which I really appreciated.” - Katelyn Hensel for Readers' Favorite

“Sanctuary is a fast-paced Christian fantasy thriller that is original and quite entertaining. The story revolves around Jennie and her family, Pastor Billy and his wife, and two brothers who are polar opposites of each other. Each chapter is presented in the point of view of Jennie, Brad or Hugh (the brothers), which gives Pauline Creeden's Sanctuary, a multidimensional feel. The three different story-lines merge into a full-fledged fantasy/horror novel that never sags or lets up on the action. While there are Christian themes present in Sanctuary, and Jennie's faith is an important part of who she is, I, a non-Christian, did not feel I was being preached to or proselytized. I recommend Pauline Creeden's Sanctuary -- it's well-written and a lot of fun to read.” – Jack Magnus for Readers Favorite

Author Pauline Creeden

PaulineIn simple language, Pauline Creeden creates worlds that are both familiar and strange, often pulling the veil between dimensions. She becomes the main character in each of her stories, and because she has ADD, she will get bored if she pretends to be one person for too long.

Pauline is a horse trainer from Virginia, but writing is her therapy.

Armored Hearts, her joint effort with author Melissa Turner Lee, has been a #1 Bestseller in Christian Fantasy and been awarded the Crowned Heart for Excellence by InDtale Magazine. Her debut novel, Sanctuary has already been nominated for two awards in YA Science Fiction.

One of Pauline's short stories has won the CCW Short Story contest. Other short stories have been published in Fear & Trembling Magazine, Obsidian River and Avenir Eclectia. An urban fantasy short will appear in The Book of Sylvari: An Anthology of Elves from Port Yonder Press, and a vampire short will appear in Monsters! from Diminished Media Group.
