#Team1GN, 1 Girl Nation NEEDS YOU ~ Check out how YOU can make a difference Today! Hurry ends 3/21!

Who is 1 Girl Nation you ask?

Simply put, 1 Girl Nation is five girls from five different places, with one message. And to share that message, they are raising funds to purchase a very necessary touring vehicle for their upcoming Fall 2014 Tour.

Never heard of 1 Girl Nation?  Where have you been? - LOL

Want to know more?  Well, here is a teaser from my review of the 1GN CD!

1GN
is my girls' new favorite CD. This CD is the main music that plays every
day in my home, along with their Christmas Program CD for church.  1GN
is upbeat, energetic and fun with a positive message of faith, my girls
and I all love to listen, sing along and dance along with Lindsey,
Kayli, Lauren Taylor, Carmen & Kelsey.

The
music stays with me throughout the day, and into the night when I should
be sleeping.  The song "While We're Young" is so fun and exciting that
the lyrics and music is constantly in my mind.  I found myself {keep reading}

About the Project:

1 Girl Nation is in need of a new vehicle that will allow them to tour around this Fall. They usually tour all over the country traveling for several months
at a time and recently their vehicle broke down for the 4th time in a row - they desperately need something that is reliable, safe, comfortable, and
can handle the intense touring that they do. Without a reliable ride, it
makes it difficult for them to get to each town to meet their fans and to share the
message that they have been called to share. This is where you come in...

This
Fall, 1 Girl Nation wants to continue sharing the hope of the Gospel through their upbeat and fun
music.

Here is how YOU can help!  They have started their first ever Kickstarter project and are hoping that you can
participate. They even have some amazing, limited edition rewards available for those who are willing to help in whatever way they can!
Remember that every dollar counts! We hope that you will take a moment
to read through the rewards, and pray about how you can be a part of the
1GN family, in supporting this wonderful ministry.

They NEED to raise $30,000 by March 21st in order to put a down payment on this van.  The van actually costs around $80,000 but in Faith, they are praying for a $30,000 showing of Love and Support to start the process!

If you are interested in how you can help - check out the Kickstarter Link HERE. Join me in helping these amazingly talented girls get to their concerts and loved ones safely!

{Review & Giveaway} Illuminating Gracie by Lisa C. Temple

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

As
an old woman's lifeless body lies on a cold stone floor, her soul
stands before an angel who offers her a miraculous opportunity: the
chance to do it all again. But that is easier said than done. In order
to change the path her life has taken, she must put aside years of
self-loathing and pain, so she can help the young girl she once was
become the woman she should have been.

At
17 years old, Grace Bennett is a bitter young woman.
Though blessed with a loving family, looks and brains to spare, she
hides her

light under a bushel, spending most of her time in the
darkness of her mind with little more than sarcasm and self-pity to keep
her company.

But
things are about to change for Grace. While delivering food for her
family's bed and breakfast, she turns onto a desolate dirt road and
drives straight into her destiny.

It's on this isolated country lane that the damaged girl meets a strangely familiar old couple and two mysterious
young men. Together the group fights the demons that surround Grace, and they teach her what it means to let her light shine.

"Illuminating
Gracie" is, at once, a metaphorical tale of the fight between good and
evil and a spiritual saga of one girl's journey from darkness into the
light. If you liked "Twilight" and "The Hunger Games," you will love the
story of Gracie.

 My Review:

Illuminating Gracie is a story of good vs evil and rediscovering yourself.  In this novel Grace has lived her life and now stands before God and is given the choice to relive her life, but to do it "right" this time.  Her struggles with good and evil, with angels and demons is one that is easy to identify with.  Yet, I had a hard time reading about where the angel was "lying" to Grace for her "own good."  Just not my favorite part of this story ~  ( I was notified by the tour company and the author that this is Christian Fantasy - so therefore lying angels actually set the premise for the next book in the series.  That does make more sense with this story being Fantasy.)

Otherwise, the story was well written with only a few slow parts and portions that did not flow as well as they could. It is a fast paced read but make sure to take your time as this is not a light read, but one that makes the reader question "what if I could go back and do it again" while reading through this book.

Gracie is a strong willed, troubled teen who needs to face her choices in life and make hard decisions.  It is definitely a story with a strong moral lesson for today's teens and Young adults.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lisa
C. Temple is a lifetime resident of Montgomery, Alabama where she lives
with her husband Dana, with whom she has a 21-year-old son, Temp. She
is a graduate of Huntingdon College and Jones School of Law.
Illuminating Gracie is her debut novel.

{Review} Stop little hands from unlocking seat belts while travelling with Beltlock

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Have you ever been driving down the road and looked back to see your child has undone his or her seat belt?  It can be a scary thing to know that your toddler or young child is capable of releasing the seat belt whenever he or she chooses.  Now, there is a simple and easy way to keep those little fingers from removing

the seatbelt unless mom or dad does it for them.  It is called Beltlock.

Beltlock is designed to prevent kids from opening the
seat belt securing the child's car seat. Beltlock is designed to be
strong, durable, visible in the car, easy to fit and easy to remove with
a key by an adult. Beltlock offers peace of mind when traveling with
kids.

Thankfully this has not happened to me but I know it could happen, even accidentally as little hands roam around in the car on trips.  And with big brother wreaking havoc with the girls, hand and feet tend to fly all over the place - it seems like just a matter of time before one of them ends up releasing a seat belt while the car is moving.  Now, with Beltlock, I can have peace of mind knowing that it will not be easy for them to release the belt without adult help.  It is easy to remove the Beltlock using a key to press down in the middle and release the seat belt.  The Beltlock simply slips over the seat belt receiver end and the belt lock is clicked safely without little fingers being able to press the release mechanism.
