To find a cure for childhood cancer, we’re going the distance…one
million miles! That’s a long way, but a parent of a child with cancer
would go that far - and then some - to find a cure.
During the month of September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) we will
collectively run or walk one million miles to raise funds and spread
the word of the need to support childhood cancer research.

My Review:
Alex's Lemonade stand is a fun an entertaining story about a real girl who decided to do something to help raise money for cancer research. She set a lofty goal and succeeded! She had a bit of help along the way. I love the motivation and determination of young Alex. Her story is one that will inspire others to see that even One person Can make a difference. One person, no matter how young, can achieve large goals with some work and determination. Alex turned lemons into lemonade - then turned that lemonade into dollars to help a worthy cause ~ finding a cure for cancer. This is the story that inspired the Million Mile Run. What would YOU do to find a cure for cancer?
